Who will I deal with at Taylor Patterson?

Each Client (whether Corporate or Individual) is allocated their own Insurance Adviser backed by a dedicated Administration team.  You will receive full contact details (telephone, fax, mobile and e-mail) of each of the individuals concerned to ensure that you can easily access a member of the team who handles your arrangements..

Which covers can Taylor Patterson arrange on my behalf?

As a Corporate Insurance Broker, Taylor Patterson handles all types of Commercial Insurance arrangements for our Clients. Full details of the types of policy and service available are situated on the services pages of this site.

Taylor Patterson also has specialist markets for bespoke High Value home and vehicle insurance.

Furthermore, Taylor Patterson is also able to offer both in-house and externally sourced Health & Safety and Risk Management Services to all Clients.

What Documentation will I receive when my policy commences or is renewed?

A full cover summary is provided to all our Clients prior to the renewal date of a policy or commencement of any new policy (within the terms detailed in our Service Charter). We will include within this summary our Client Agreement, our Initial Disclosure Document and an Insurer Product Summary (or if unavailable, a Policy Wording).

The Client Agreement and Initial Disclosure Document detail the terms and conditions of our appointment including any fees payable for our services and provide you with details of our status. In providing these documents we aim to ensure that all our Client dealings are fully transparent, and that our Clients are aware of our obligations in addition to their own.

Can I pay my premium by Direct Debit?

Monthly instalments are normally available via Insurers’ own instalment facilities or via a third party premium finance company. Instalments are available subject to an additional interest charge, and premiums can be repaid over 6, 10 or 12 instalments.

Alternatively, if you wish to settle your premium in full, this can be done either by BACS (account details provided on request) or by sending a cheque to: -

Can an existing policy be transferred to Taylor Patterson from another broker?

Taylor Patterson has wide access to the general insurance market, including specialist London underwriters and Lloyd's and, as a result, we are able to accept transfer of a majority of existing insurance arrangements into our agencies.

How will I be advised of my renewal terms?

Approximately 6 weeks before renewal you will be contacted by a member of your dedicated team to conduct a review of your requirements by means of a meeting or via the telephone, whichever is most appropriate to you.

This will ensure that all renewal terms and quotations that we provide are based upon correct information. We aim to provide, all such terms and quotations in a timely manner before your renewal date.

How do I make a claim?

Please contact a member of your dedicated team by telephone on 01772 555073 or by e-mail (firstname.surname@taypat.co.uk) as soon as is practically possible. We will guide you through the claims process and assist in managing your claim if required.

What happens if I cancel a policy mid-term?

Before a policy commences or is renewed, a Key Facts Policy Summary document will be provided to you for the relevant insurer. This document will outline the insurer’s cancellation terms and procedures. Depending on the terms of the contract, the reason for the cancellation, or the insurer involved a return premium may be allowed.

Is Taylor Patterson able to offer assistance with other risk and financial areas of my business?

The Taylor Patterson Group contains various divisions including Wealth Management, Employee Benefits, SIPP and SSAS and Financial Planning departments which have specialist knowledge to deal with all your corporate and individual risk and financial planning needs.

Will I be kept up to date with topical issues that may affect my business?

The Taylor Patterson Group issue “The Adviser” newsletter on a quarterly basis. This publication contains articles by each of our group divisions on topical issues that we feel are of interest to you, along with general news articles from Taylor Patterson..
