In addition to employers’ and public liability insurance requirements, we can arrange flexible covers for contract sites, materials, plant and equipment via annual policies or on a per contract basis.
We take time to ascertain and understand what contract terms our clients are working to, and arrange bespoke covers that meet JCT, ICE or other specific contract requirements. These requirements can include cover for existing structures/property, liquidated damages, and non-negligence damage to other property (JCT 21.2.1/6.5.1).
Companies involved in the contracting sector should also insure against their professional liabilities via Design and Construct Professional Indemnity covers with an appropriate extension of cover to cater for collateral warranties they may be required to provide. Many of the insurers that we utilise provide collateral warranty checking as part of their service.
Those contractors involved in large or new-build projects often have to provide some form of guarantee in relation to their own financial stability and the work that they are undertaking. In this respect, we are increasingly involved in the arrangement of performance bonds, building guarantees and latent defects covers.
Our Corporate Insurance team has both the technical and market knowledge to proactively arrange and manage your construction/contracting insurance programme. |
